Mindfulness

The Mindfulness practice was conceived by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn , biologist and emeritus professor of the University of Massachusetts, who combined his professional training as a molecular biologist and researcher, with years of Zen meditation practice and Yoga study .

His scientific vision, well blended with the Eastern and - especially - Buddhist perspective of the person, allowed him to found the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts in 1979 and to develop the eight-week program called " Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) ".

 

His practice is the result of years of study born to support an inner alignment based on meditation , non-judgment and acceptance of what happens to us in the present moment , in every smallest aspect.
